  New EXJW stories

  hi everyone, a really nice regular contributor to our ex jw reddit community has begun a website to support those leaving or thinking of leaving jw.org called https://leavingjw.org it's main content is exit stories ( which we all love!

  it's a worthy cause so if you feel so inclined do contribute your stories - you can still be physically " in" - and there is also a questionnaire style story if you don't have time/feel inclined to write the whole thing out.. like simon these guys set up exjw websites in their own time and using their own money for our communities benefit.

  we recently lost one recovery website so do let's support this new one.

  Necessary Family Business (NFB) is now acceptable according to the weekly WT Study

  during the last decade i've seen so many articles, and top speakers try to downplay that nfb policy.

  now, this weeks wt study mentions a positive experience of someone applying having, "contact and applying nfb with a df relative".

  i'm sorry if this comes across as rude or mean, but i'm sorry - not sorry!

  there is a woman that was in my congregation for years.

  she was dating a 'worldly' man at the time and ended up df'd.

  after listening to the hearings of the australian royal commission into institutional responses to child sexual abuse, i am no longer content to have simply walked away from the organization.

  as a matter of conscience, i do not want my name linked with the organization in any way.

  i know this letter has been posted previously, and i thank the author.

  Attempts to derail this thread did not succeed. Sail Away, I cannot adequately describe how proud I am of you. Your letter is excellent and I hope you will give permission for others to use it. There should be a form letter for those who want to leave without submitting to the JW BS...I wish I had known this was possible many years ago. Thank you so much for your courage and sharing.   apparently they take photos with a potato.. (the billboard directs folks to http://jwawake.com ).

  I believe 'were' is correct. The problem I have is that on jwawake.com I didn't see a link to anything about pedophiles.

  Is this still up? It's a great idea, imho. The public needs to know. If a series of these were being done, I'd like to know where to donate.

  very long story.

  i've been away from this site for a while.. basically, i tried to leave.

  handed in my disassociation letter, it kicked up a storm and 2 weeks later i was disfellowshipped.

  Your congregation is full of drama queens! This can end in your favor if you get a good lawyer and keep your wits about you. The cudstody agreement can prohibit the child's mother from having her baptized before age 18. Do keep meticulous records on the behavior of your wife and in-laws, while conducting yourself with the utmost decorum. Slow and steady wins the race.

  " you will never grow old..." a more grievous lie is hard to imagine.

  i heard this one first in 1957. i was 6. my mother had just converted.

  i heard it many times after that.

  The 79 year old elder officiating at my mother's funeral said "We're all going to die." Apparently some have given up on the fantasy.
